Description:

Ceftriaxone 1000 MG Injection is used to treat avariety of conditions such as urinary tract infections, infection of the ears,lungs and meningitis caused by bacteria. It should not be used with calcium-containing intravenous solutions.

Side effects:

• Black or tarry stools
• Chest pain
• Fever
• Difficulty or painful urination
• Sore throat
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Dizziness
• Swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet
• Acid or sour stomach
• Change in taste
• Excessive air or gas in stomach.

Uses:

Bacterial Meningitis : Ceftriaxone 1000 MG Injection is used in the treatment of meningitis, which is an inflammation of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. This infection may be caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Neisseria meningitidis.

Bacterial Septicemia : Ceftriaxone 1000 MG Injection is used in the treatment of septicemia which is an infection of the blood caused by Staphylococci and Streptococcus pyogenes.

Gonococcal Infection: Ceftriaxone 1000 MG Injection is used in the treatment of gonococcal infection which is a sexually transmitted bacterialinfection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Urinary Tract Infection : Ceftriaxone 1000 MG Injection is used in the treatment of infections of the urinary tract caused by E.coli,Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
